Muslims attack Hindus in 2 different incidents in Bangladesh

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Following the murder of young man named Raqib Hasan on April 11th in the Daspada Bazaar area of Rangpur, Bangladesh, a mob of Muslims vandalized Hindu houses and shops. According to Police, this action was done by a third party to mislead.

Raqib Hasan’s mother clarified that the Hindu community had no connection with the murder. Raqib was killed by drug smuggler Mohammad Momin over a personal dispute.

Maulavi murdered for insulting Islam: Hindu homes also targeted

In Kushtia, a mob of Muslims killed a schoolteacher maulavi Shamim Raza Jahangir, for insulting Islam. The attackers set fire to his darbar and seriously injured 7 of his followers. Some Hindu homes were also targeted.

133 incidents of minority attacks within 3 months of 2026

According to the statistics of the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, 133 incidents of religious violence have been reported in the first 3 months of this year. In view of the current situation, Police and Rapid Action Force have been deployed in the affected areas.
