Lahore (Pakistan) – Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar’s brother, Mohammad Tahir Anwar (62 years), has died under suspicious circumstances. The exact cause of death is still unclear. He died in Bahawalpur. The organisation’s official media has confirmed his death; however, the cause has not been disclosed. He had been seriously injured during ‘Operation Sindoor’.
Tahir was the head of the organisation’s military operations and had been coordinating terrorist activities for more than two decades. He played a significant role in establishing and running numerous training camps after 2001. He was also responsible for weapons accumulation and supply, due to which he was considered the backbone of the organisation.
Editorial PerspectiveEven if those who irrationally spewed venom against the Government and the filmmakers over the film Dhurandhar now begin linking this death to India’s intelligence agencies and calling them ‘inhuman’, shows their intellectual bankruptcy ! |
