US economist Jeffrey Sachs warns

New Delhi:  Renowned American economist Jeffrey Sachs has warned that Dubai and Abu Dhabi are cities built for tourism and the rich. These are not militarily fortified areas and can be easily destroyed if the United Arab Emirates goes to war. In such circumstances jumping into war is akin to eliminating the basic purpose of existence of cities like Dubai, warned renowned US economist Jeffrey Sachs.

Jeffrey Sachs went on to say that siding with Israel and the United States is an invitation to destruction for the Emirates and that their biggest mistake is that these countries rely solely on U.S. defense. It is dangerous to be an enemy of the United States; But being friends can be fatal.

Stop investing heavily on lost causes !

Jeffrey Sachs has advised the United Arab Emirates  to prioritise its own security and stop overtly investing (by siding with the United States in the war) on a lost cause. The Emirates needs to defend itself by recognising the current situation.
