The matter of circulating a video of the attack on Hindus during the Ramnavami procession in Murshidabad

Kolkata Police file a case against devout Hindu workers

Murshidabad (Bengal) – On 27 March, the day of Ramnavami, Hindus were attacked by religious fanatics in Murshidabad and Purulia. Videos of the incident were also circulated on social media. Instead of taking action against the attackers, the police registered cases against workers of Hindu organisations who shared these videos. The case has been registered at the cyber police station in Kolkata. Action has been taken against the concerned accounts under Sections 353(2), 353(1)(b) and 196(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Regarding this attack, devout Hindu worker Saurish Mukherjee, while sharing the video on ‘X’, stated that reports of serious violence are emerging from Murshidabad. It is being said that the Ramnavami procession has once again been attacked. The repeated tensions arising in this Muslim-majority district raise several questions. Who is responsible, and where is the law and order? A case has been registered against him based on this statement.

Editorial Perspective

Hindus in Bengal are now feeling that the days of the Trinamool Congress government are numbered. For this, they need to take active efforts during elections.
