Tensions rise after North Korea launches 10 ballistic missiles into the eastern sea

Tokyo (Japan) – At a time when tensions are already high due to the conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, signs of rising tension are now emerging in East Asia as well. North Korea has launched 10 ballistic (intercontinental) missiles into the sea to its east. Following this action, Japan immediately issued a warning.

Japan’s Prime Minister’s Office shared information on the social media platform X, urging citizens to remain alert in light of the latest developments. Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has activated emergency response systems along the route where the missiles were launched.

1.   This latest action by North Korea has raised concerns about regional security and increased tensions in the area.

2.   After the missile launches, Japan’s Coast Guard responded immediately and issued warnings to vessels in the sea to remain cautious.

3.   After achieving a historic victory in the February 2026 general elections, Takaichi had stated that the government would focus on regional security and the protection of Japanese territory.
