London (Britain) – A group of jihadi Muslims attacked Hindu families, women and children who were peacefully celebrating Holi in the Harrow area of London. Legal permission had already been obtained for the Holika Dahan programme organised by the International Siddhashram Shakti Centre.

According to a report by the Insight UK news website, while hundreds of devotees were celebrating the festival with devotion, some Islamic fundamentalists came there from a nearby mosque. They created disturbances during the programme, knocked down the speakers of the sound system and began threatening those present. After leaving once, these youths returned with about 20 other religious fanatic Muslims and again attacked the devotees. The police reached the spot about 1 hour later and recorded statements of those present.

Two sitting mayors, the commander of the London Fire Brigade, members of the Harrow Council and leaders of the Labour group, along with several other dignitaries, were present at the programme when the incident occurred. Despite the presence of such prominent civic and political personalities, the religious fanatic Muslims directly targeted the event. The Hindu community in Britain has now demanded that they too should receive security and respect just like other communities.
