Protests by Shia Muslims in many places in India following Khamenei’s death

New Delhi – After the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei in an attack, Shia Muslims are holding protests, mourning rallies and demonstrations in many places in India. These demonstrations condemned the attack by America and Israel.

1. Shia Muslims in Kashmir demonstrated at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, displaying black flags. They tried to march to the United Nations office; but security forces stopped them.

2. Muslims took out a march at Chhota Imambara and Old City in Laxmanpuri (Lucknow), the capital of Uttar Pradesh, to protest Khamenei’s assassination. The participating Muslims in black clothes held protests in Agra, Aligarh, Amroha, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

3. Shia Muslims in Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Bhagyanagar (Old City) protested against America and Israel.
