Renowned Indian restaurant ‘Rangrez’ in London to shut down due to threats from Pakistanis !

Harman Singh Kapoor

London (Britain) – The well-known Indian restaurant ‘Rangrez’, which has established its identity over the past 16 years in Hammersmith, London, will permanently shut down next month due to repeated threats from Pakistani nationals and alleged lack of adequate police protection. The announcement was made by the restaurant’s owner, Harman Singh Kapoor.

1.  Kapoor stated on ‘X’ that frequent disturbances at the restaurant by Pakistani nationals, online threats, rising operational costs and insufficient support from the police compelled him to take the decision to close the establishment.

2.  The restaurant had earlier been attacked by Pakistani extremists, who allegedly pressured Kapoor to raise slogans of “Khalistan Zindabad”.

3.  Kapoor has alleged that despite providing CCTV footage and evidence to the London Police, he was not given adequate security.

4.  After news of the closure surfaced, many expressed regret on social media. One user wrote that the food at ‘Rangrez’ was exceptional and that the closure of a 16-year-old establishment raises serious questions about the law and order situation in London.

Kapoor’s firm stand against Khalistan movement

Kapoor wrote on ‘X’ that he will now devote his full time to fighting extremism. He stated, “You may stop my business, but you cannot destroy my resolve. I will now fight more firmly against you without any obstacles.”

Kapoor has been openly confronting Khalistan supporters since 2023

Earlier, Kapoor had shared a video on social media criticising the Khalistan movement. Following this, he publicly stated that he and his family had received threats. A few days after the vandalism of the Indian High Commission in London in 2023, Khalistan supporters allegedly attacked his restaurant. They also issued death threats to his wife and children, made abusive phone calls and sent online threats demanding that he remove his video criticising the Khalistan movement.

Editorial Perspectives

  • This incident clearly exposes the role of Pakistani elements in fuelling the Khalistan movement — a reality that cannot be ignored ! This incident also reflects the rapid Islamisation of London, which cannot be ignored !
  • There are many Indian entrepreneurs who have achieved success in business abroad through their own merit; however, patriots like Harman Singh Kapoor are rarely found. Being forced to shut down his business because of his love for the nation is a matter of deep shame for India !
