Posters of Hindu festival torn by antisocial elements in Shringeri (Karnataka)

Chikkamagaluru (Karnataka) – In Bolur Cross village near Begaru in Shringeri taluka posters of a Hindu festival were torn by antisocial elements. Hindu leaders have expressed their anger.

Posters about a religious festival to be held on 31 January in Marigebailu village were put up in the nearby areas. On the night of 28 January unknown antisocial elements in society tore these posters using a blade. The Chairman of the festival’s Committee Pradeep Choleraman filed a complaint in Shringeri Police Station about this matter. The Police investigation in this matter is ongoing.
