America invites India to join Gaza peace council

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and America’s President Donald Trump

New Delhi – To permanently end the conflict between Israel and Hamas and to establish lasting peace in Gaza, the United States of America has constituted a ‘Gaza Board of Peace’. The USA has sent an official invitation to India to participate in this Gaza peace council. US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor shared this information in a post on X.

In the letter sent to India by the White House, it is stated that inviting India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join this initiative is considered a great honour, with the aim of strengthening peace in the Middle East and adopting a new approach to resolving global conflicts. It further notes that on 29 September 2025, a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict was announced. This was a 20-point plan, which subsequently received approval from the United Nations Security Council. The letter states that the time has now come to translate these visions into reality.

At the core of this plan is the Peace Council, described as the most powerful and effective body to date, which will be established as a new international organisation and a transitional administration.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Only Gaza should not be the focus; efforts for peace must extend across the world. However, the US continues to shield Pakistan, a factory of terrorism, inviting India is nothing but hypocrisy. India would be right to reject this invitation.
  • America interferes in Venezuela’s internal affairs and is threatening the people of Greenland to take it over. This itself is fuelling global instability. Creating peace where it suits one’s interests and spreading unrest elsewhere is outrageous.
