Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) – Bags or goods sold in shops in Saudi Arabia are often printed with various images to make them look attractive. In this context, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has issued new and strict directives. It has been clearly stated that legal action will be taken against those who violate these directives.
These steps have been taken to ensure that the sacred name of Allah is not written on items that may be misused or thrown away. An official ban has been imposed on printing Allah’s name on bags and other such items.
The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce, Abdul Rahman Al-Hussein, stated that the objective behind this decision is to protect religious sanctity and to avoid any kind of disrespect.
