Murder of Shubham Choubey in Vidisha (Madhya Pradesh)

Goons took revenge after he stopped the harassment of a young woman

Vidisha (Madhya Pradesh) – A young man was fatally stabbed in Vidisha’s Indraprastha Colony on Saturday night. The attack happened after he tried to stop a group of men from molesting a young woman.

The entire incident was caught on CCTV. The victim, Nandhu alias Shubham Choubey, died during treatment at the hospital. He worked as an air conditioner repairman.

What happened ?

According to police, Shubham Choubey stopped Chunni, a resident of Karaiya Kheda Road, and his associates from harassing a young woman. Angered by this, Chunni came to Indraprastha Colony on Saturday night with his friends on a bike. They called Shubham out and attacked him.

Neighbours remained bystanders

The accused first beat Shubham and then stabbed him with knives. After the assault, they fled the scene. Some neighbours were present during the attack but did not intervene. Shubham was seriously injured and taken to the hospital by local residents. He died while undergoing treatment.

Police action

Additional SP Prashant Choubey reached the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident. Police are thoroughly investigating the crime scene. CCTV footage shows the accused attacking Shubham with their accomplices. Local residents described Nandhu as a friendly young man.

Accused being identified

Police are identifying the attackers using CCTV footage. A murder case has been registered against Chunni and his associates, who are now being searched for. The investigation is ongoing.
