Dhaka (Bangladesh) – In Pirojpur district, religious extremist Muslims surrounded the house of Palash Kanti Saha, locked it from the outside, and then set the house on fire. The incident occurred on 27 December at around 6 a.m. in Dumuria village. At that time, people standing outside the house were crying and shouting, but they could do nothing. The members of the Saha family somehow managed to save themselves.

Regarding this incident, Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen posted on X stating that in a village in Pirojpur district, Hindu-hating extremists set fire to five rooms of the Saha family’s house. The incident took place in the morning when everyone was asleep. Earlier, in the Raozan area of Chittagong, Hindu homes were similarly set on fire in the early hours of the morning. Will the houses of all remaining Hindus in the country be burned in the same manner ? Fires are deliberately set while people are asleep with the intention of burning them alive. In such a situation, will Yunus remain merely inactive ?

Why is Mamata Banerjee silent ? – BJP

In this context, BJP leader Amit Malviya, expressing his views on X, criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for maintaining silence on such incidents. He said that Mamata Banerjee’s inaction is making extremists more fearless. He also stated that when Hindus are targeted solely because of their religion, the world should not ignore it.
