Another attack on a Hindu youth in Chandpur (Bangladesh) on charges of blasphemy

Chittagong (Bangladesh) – An incident of an attack on a Hindu youth has come to light in the city of Chandpur, situated at the confluence of two rivers in Bangladesh. According to a report sent to Sanatan Prabhat by a Hindu activist from the region, local Muslims attacked a Hindu youth associated with ISKCON, accusing him of allegedly insulting Islam. During the incident, the youth took shelter in a nearby temple to save his life. A video has also surfaced showing Muslims raising slogans against him.

Just a few days ago, in the Mymensingh district, a Muslim mob murdered Dipu Chandra Das and burned his half-dead body. He was falsely accused of insulting the Prophet Muhammad.

Editorial Perspective

If a non-Muslim is accused of blasphemy in Bangladesh or Pakistan, they are attacked and, at times, even killed. On the other hand, in India, neither do Hindus protest on a large scale over blasphemy, nor does the administration take strict action against the guilty when Hindu religious sentiments are hurt. This situation is shameful for 100 crore (one billion) Hindus !
