Belagavi: While denying permission for the RSS route march in Chittapur in Karnataka, the Kalaburagi district administration had cited law and order concerns. However, after a court order, permission was granted for the route marches across the state. Now, the Congress Government itself has admitted in the Legislative Assembly that “the RSS route marches did not create any law and order problems anywhere in the state.”

During the Assembly session, BJP MLA V. Sunil Kumar had raised a question regarding the RSS route marches. Responding to it, Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara stated in a written reply that a total of 518 RSS route marches were held in Karnataka. More than 2,00,000 volunteers participated in these marches. There were no clashes or communal riots of any kind during this period
