1. A dog picked up a black bag from the rubbish heap in the Station compound; and began to run with the bag in his mouth, in the direction of the railway track. The moment the dog bit into the explosive in the bag, it exploded and the dog died on the spot. As the explosion took place near the railway track the Police immediately sealed the area and began its investigation. The parts of the exploded bomb have been recovered by the Police and the bomb squad has also visited and examined the site.
2. The Police on primary investigation are saying that this country-made bomb might have been kept for hunting. District Police Commissioner B Rohit Raju clarified that this is not a terrorist incident. Someone who had bought a country bomb for hunting, might have thrown it in the rubbish heap. The dog out of curiosity picked it up in his mouth; and then this incident happened. Who brought this bomb and where was it kept? Is being investigated. The security has been increased in the railway station area.
