New Delhi – Taking note of the rising number of cyber fraud complaints, the Delhi Police conducted an intensive 48-hour crackdown and arrested over 700 cybercriminals. The operation was codenamed ‘Operation Cyber Hawk’. Police units from 15 districts of Delhi participated in the action. Investigations revealed that the arrested accused were linked to a large cyber network. This crackdown has exposed frauds amounting to nearly ₹1,000 crore.
