Conspiracy to Islamise Vaishno Devi Medical College, established with the offerings of Hindus !

Serious allegation by VHP over admission of 90 per cent Muslim students in college !

Jammu –  As many as 90 per cent of the students were admitted to ‘Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence’ in the first round of the admission process. This has sparked outrage everywhere and pro-Hindu parties and organisations have demanded that the first list of students admitted should be scrapped. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal staged a protest outside Katra College here.  On this occasion, the effigy of the Chief Executive Officer of ‘Vaishno Devi Shrine Board’ was burnt. Regarding this VHP’s Jammu and Kashmir president Rajesh Gupta said first list should be scrapped and that most of the students selected for the first list should be Hindus. Gupta also made a serious allegation that the list of 50 people was a conspiracy to Islamise the college.

Bajrang Dal’s Jammu and Kashmir president Rakesh Bajrangi alleged that there was discrimination while proving the list of students. We have no objection to students from Kashmir taking admission in any other medical college; But seats should be reserved for Hindu students in Vaishno Devi College; Because it  has been built with donations from the ‘Vaishno Devi Shrine Board’.

BJP’s clear stand !

BJP’s Udhampur MLA R.K.S. Pathania said  the medical college was built on the offerings made to the Vaishno Devi temple. In such a situation, there should be no Muslim dominance and some seats should be reserved for Hindus. He further said that minority colleges which receive government funds also reserve seats for the community they claim to represent. Here the organisation does not take a single penny from the government and runs on donations from Vaishno Devi pilgrims. Therefore, seats should be reserved for Hindu students; Because this issue is related to the faith of the pilgrims.

Strange logic of administrative officers !

Some administrative officials on condition of anonymity said the admission process was fair. The procedure was carried out as per the guidelines of the National Medical Council (Entrance exam for the admission in medical colleges). Admissions to all 1,685 seats in 13 medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir were done according to the NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) list. The second condition is that 85 per cent of the seats should be reserved for residents of the Union Territory. Admission were granted accordingly. (In the case of a college built on Hindu money, the administration is reminded of the law. On the other hand, Muslims are lured by openly flaunting the law to appease them. Isn’t this an injustice to Hindus ? – Editor)
