Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Under the rule of the Mohammad Yunus Government, there has been a rapid increase in the organisation of Islamic events across Bangladesh. For this purpose, Mohammad Yunus has now begun openly supporting Pakistan. Officers from the Pakistani Army and intelligence agencies were already visiting Bangladesh. Now, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of Pakistan’s hardline Islamic party ‘Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal’, addressed a large religious gathering in Dhaka. Referring to the religious bond between Bangladesh and Pakistan, he called for strengthening relations between the two nations. He emphasised that Islam is the principal thread connecting both countries.
Fazlur Rehman further stated that Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh are part of the same ummah. He assured that if Bangladesh takes one step, Pakistan will take two. He added that the goodwill and affection between both nations will continue in the future.
