Terror network supplier Gopi Billa arrested in Gujarat

Direct links to Pakistan exposed

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) – The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi Billa, a key suspect linked to a Pakistan-based terror network. The Punjab Police had been tracking him for several months.

1. According to officials, Gurpreet maintained direct and continuous contact with active terrorist groups in Pakistan. He is accused of facilitating the movement of terrorists within India and smuggling weapons and explosives across the border for use in terror activities.

2. Gurpreet’s involvement surfaced during the interrogation of two suspects recently detained by the Punjab Police. Based on this information, Gujarat ATS initiated a search and traced him to the Halol area of Panchmahal District, where he had been working as a factory labourer. He was taken into custody from a nearby hotel.

3. During questioning, Gurpreet reportedly confessed to participating in a plot to carry out a grenade attack, ATS officials said. After completing legal formalities, he will be handed over to the Punjab Police, where multiple cases are already registered against him in the Gurdaspur region.
