Perpetrators tried to tear her clothes

Loni Kalbhor (Pune Dist.) – In an outrageous incident, a married Hindu woman was verbally abused with obscene remarks and assaulted by several religious fanatics while she was returning home from school with her daughter. The incident occurred in the Pathare settlement area on the boundary of Kadamwak Vasti (Haveli taluka). A 30-year-old woman has filed a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor Police Station. The Police have registered an offence against Mohammed Irani, Ali Irani, Haider Irani, Fatu Irani, Noorjan Irani, and Rabab Irani.
1. The complainant woman was taking her daughter home from school on a two-wheeler. Some religious fanatics were gathered in the settlement by the roadside. At that time Mohammed and Ali Irani made lewd remarks about the woman. (Hindu women are not safe even in their own villages. It is the need of the hour that Hindu women must undertake self-defence training. – Editor)
2. The complainant ignored them and tried to move on. At that moment some of the men came forward, blocked the woman, pulled her hair and forced her to the ground. She was beaten with kicks and punches.
3. Mohammed, again made obscene remarks and placed his hand on the victim’s chest in a manner intended to outrage her modesty.
4. The complaint also states that some of the religious fanatic women among the group tried to tear the complainant’s clothes.
