Announcement of alliance between MNS and Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction !

Mumbai – Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and the Mahavikas Aghadi organised a ‘Truth March’ from Fashion Street to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters against the Election Commission. Leaders and workers from the MNS, Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction, Sharad Pawar faction, Congress, Peasants and Workers Party, and Communist Party of India participated in the march. A stage was set up in front of the BMC headquarters where various leaders addressed the gathering. They demanded that elections should not be conducted until the discrepancies in the voters’ list are corrected.
While addressing the march, Uddhav Thackeray said, “We brothers have come together for the people; support us.” This statement is being seen as an announcement of an alliance between the MNS and his faction. Hundreds of fake voters’ lists, mock EVMs, and symbolic election coffins were displayed during the event.
Eliminate duplicate voters on the spot ! – Raj Thackeray, MNS
“Go door-to-door and work on the voters’ lists. If you find names appearing twice or thrice, eliminate them on the spot. Clean up and make the voters’ list transparent, and then hold elections. Even after submitting proof, the court has directed that elections be held in January. If elections haven’t been conducted for five years, what difference will another year make? How will democracy survive through such elections?” questioned MNS President Raj Thackeray. He also read out figures of original and duplicate voters from various areas of Mumbai, Maval, Pune, and Thane, while carrying a pile of documentary evidence to the site.
Verify if the voters listed actually live in your area ! – Uddhav Thackeray
“During the Lok Sabha elections, the Chief Minister was about to reveal which constituency benefited — meaning he has admitted that vote-rigging took place. The Election Commissioners have become their servants. A fake application has been made under my name on the ‘Saksham’ app. Was it an attempt to remove the names of four members of my family from the voters’ list? That must be investigated. They are adding anyone’s names to the lists. I urge voters to verify whether the people listed actually reside in their homes,” said Uddhav Thackeray.
Sharad Pawar, President of the Sharad Pawar faction, said, “Today’s march reminds one of the rallies during the struggle for united Maharashtra. Elections must be conducted in a transparent manner.”
Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar stated that there were 9,500 fake votes in his constituency, and when questioned, the Tehsildar replied that he did not have the authority to correct them.
Silent march by BJP
In protest against this rally, the BJP organised a silent march. “There has been no vote theft, only mind theft,” said BJP State President Ravindra Chavan during the protest.
