(YouTuber: A person who shares videos through their YouTube channel)

Delhi – A foreign YouTuber from New Zealand, currently in India, was enthusiastically greeting people with ‘Namaskar’ and wishing them a happy Diwali on Mohammadine Street in Delhi when a furious Muslim forced him to say ‘Salaam Waleikum’ instead.
1. The New Zealand-based YouTuber, visiting India during the festive season, was cheerfully offering Diwali greetings to shopkeepers. While standing outside an eatery, he greeted the staff with ‘Namaskar’ — but this angered a fanatic Muslim, who told him, “Salaam Waleikum! No Namaskar. This is Mohammadine Street,” and compelled him to repeat ‘Salaam Waleikum’.
2. The incident’s video has gone viral on social media, with numerous reactions. One user commented, “Arguing over greetings during the festival of light is the worst display of false unity. Some people simply cannot tolerate even a ray of light.”
3. Another user remarked, “There’s nothing wrong with saying ‘Salaam Waleikum’, but the fanatic’s aggressive objection to ‘Namaskar’ shows he needs serious treatment. He must be reasoned with — gently or firmly — because he won’t understand otherwise.” This person also tagged Delhi MLA Rekha Gupta, the Chief Minister’s Office, Delhi Police, and the Police Commissioner on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) regarding the incident.
