Vandalism of idol in Shri Kali Mata temple in Bengal

More anger among Hindus as Police take away broken idols in police van

Kolkata (Bengal) – A major controversy has arisen due to the desecration of the idol of Shri Kali Mata in Chandnagar village of Kakdwip taluka of South 24 Parganas district of Bengal. The Bharatiya Janata Party has strongly criticised the Trinamool Congress Government of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over this incident. The Trinamool Congress has responded by saying that the BJP is deliberately trying to create tension.

BJP’s IT chief Amit Malviya has shared a video of the incident on X claiming that some people desecrated the temple where villagers had been worshipping with devotion for years and vandalised the idol. The Police reached the spot and immediately ordered the temple to be closed. It was as if their main task was to hide the crime instead of catching the criminals. Finally, after intense public anger, the administration had to reopen the temple. After this, Mamata Banerjee’s Police took the broken idol of Shri Kalimata in a police car. The insult to the idol in the Shri Kalimata temple is clear evidence of the negligence of the Trinamool Government administration. After the idol was desecrated, the entire area is ablaze with anger.
