
London: The luxury car manufacturing company Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), owned by Tata Motors, has been hit by a cyberattack. This has turned out to be the biggest and most damaging cyberattack ever in the United Kingdom. Due to this attack, the British economy has reportedly suffered a loss of around ₹22,000 crore. More than 5,000 businesses across Britain have been affected.

According to the Cyber Monitoring Centre (CMC), which independently assesses cyber incidents in the UK, the attack caused severe disruptions to JLR’s production, supply chain, and distribution systems. The cyberattack on Jaguar Land Rover’s production facilities occurred at the end of August, and manufacturing was completely halted for the entire month of September.
The attack also affected company employees and small enterprises supplying spare parts to JLR.
