‘The world should learn from India’s Operation Sindoor’ : Air Chief Marshal A P Singh

Statement made while speaking on two ongoing wars not reaching decisive conclusions

New Delhi – ‘Look at what is happening in the world; two ongoing wars (Russia–Ukraine and Israel–Hamas) show no signs of ending. But during ‘Operation Sindoor’ we intensified our combat so decisively that the enemy asked for a ceasefire. I think the world needs to learn from India’, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh said.

Air Chief Marshal A P Singh further said,

1. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam we decided that Pakistan must pay for its actions. The armed forces were given full freedom of action, and we struck with precision. We conducted strikes penetrating up to 300 km into Pakistan. Following which, Pakistan itself sought a ceasefire.

2. Why should I speak about Pakistan’s claims ? If they think they shot down 15 of our aircraft, let them present evidence, why should I comment ? Pakistan’s claims of having shot down Indian fighter aircraft during Operation Sindoor sound like fairy tales. If Pakistan has proof, it should produce it.

3. When it comes to Pakistan’s losses, we struck many of their military sites. At a minimum, damage was inflicted at four radar sites, two command-and-control locations, and two runways. Three aircraft hangars were destroyed and at least five combat aircraft were neutralised. These included US-made F-16s and J-17s.

We will also destroy new terrorist bases

Responding to reports that new terrorist bases are being built in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Air Force chief said, ‘Certainly that was expected. We have also received reports that they are constructing smaller buildings instead of large structures; nevertheless we are capable of destroying terrorists and their bases’.
