12 out of 30 Chief Ministers of the country have criminal cases registered against them

New Delhi – According to the latest report by the NGO ‘Association for Democratic Reforms’ (ADR), 12 out of 30 Chief Ministers of the country, i.e. 40%, have criminal cases registered against them. Out of them, 10 or 33% of the Chief Ministers have serious crimes such as attempt to murder, kidnapping and bribery registered against them. Out of this, Telangana’s Congress Government Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has the 89 cases; highest number of cases registered against him. Recently, the Union Government introduced 3 bills in the Lok Sabha. Under which the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers and Ministers arrested for 30 days on serious criminal charges will be disqualified from holding office.

ADR compiled the information from the affidavits filed by these Chief Ministers before contesting the elections.

It is said that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Therefore, according to the democratic system, those with criminal cases can be appointed to such positions. It is now necessary to change this rule !
