Mumbai – The Government has launched a new system called ‘CM Dashboard’ which will make available official and updated information about all departments of the Government, besides information on various schemes introduced by the State as well as the Central Government such as ‘PM Awaas Yojana’, ‘Arogya Yojana’, etc up to taluka-circle level. ‘Golden data (VVIP information)’ system has also been launched under which the official information given by the departments will be recorded. This data will be analysed to evaluate working of the respective departments.
The most appropriate department for accessing information to be decided
The information that the State Government has, is not available anywhere; but there is lack of coordination between the departments resulting in the circulation of different data; therefore, ‘Golden Data’ system will decide who will be the main source of various information.
Evaluation of execution of different Government schemes introduced by different departments
The State Government has declared a 100 days programme for proper utilisation of sources and for minute evaluation of the schemes introduced by the State Government whether a person in the remotest place is able to take benefit under such schemes. The execution of this system by 10,000 offices all over the State will be entrusted to an outside company viz ‘Quality Control of India’. The offices which do not maintain the minimum level or assigned yardstick, will be declared as failed. They will be fined as the next step and those doing a good job will be acknowledged and commended for their work.
Editorial PerspectiveThis Government system is welcomed as it will certainly help to improve the performance of the Government. After Marathi language was conferred classical language status, Marathi population expected encouragement from the Government for use of Marathi in the Government systems instead of use of English words like CM Dashboard. Use of words such as ‘Mukhyamantri Drsuhyapatal’, ‘Shaasan-Darpan’, ‘Suvyavastha Manch’, etc will be more appropriate in this background. |
