Result of strong opposition from Hindu students and organizations
Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) – After protests by Hindu students and organizations at Aligarh Muslim University, the university administration has allowed the organization of ‘Holi Milan’ programme. University Prof. B.B. Singh said that on March 13thand 14th, any student of Aligarh Muslim University can come to the auditorium and play Holi. It will remain open for students for 2 days. Have fun playing colours and gulal.
A few days ago, Hindu students had sought permission from the administration to celebrate Holi Milan in the university auditorium; however, the administration had refused to grant permission.
