Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Radical Muslims associated with the organisation ‘Tawheedi Janata’ vandalised a shop selling flowers on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. As per the report, this incident took place on February 15 in Bhuapur Sub-District of Tangail District of Bangladesh. The name of this shop is ‘Mama Gift Corner’ and it is run by a person named Alam. Alam was selling flowers on February 14. Alam said the mob had told him that selling flowers on Valentine’s Day was a crime.

On February 13, a shop called ‘Nirbili Food Corner’ was attacked by ‘Tawhidi Janata’ activists. The extremists staged an ‘anti-love’ protest outside the eatery. They shouted slogans and threatened that ‘couples will be physically harmed if they display their love in public’. In all this, the ‘Vasant Mahotsav’ to be held in Bhuapur on February 15 has been postponed.
