Order of Lieutenant Governor
Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) – Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has dismissed 3 Government employees, one among them a constable, for links with terrorists. The number of Government employees undergoing such an action since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019 has now reached 69. This is the second action since Omar Abdullah became the Chief Minister in October 2024. On November 30, Sinha dismissed the services of 2 Government officials on charges of anti-national activities and links with terrorists.

The dismissal action now includes Constable Firdous Ahmed Bhat, Government Teacher Mohammad Ashraf Bhat and Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department officer Nisar Ahmed Khan. Constable Firdous Ahmed Bhat’s links with Lashkar-e-Taiba came to light in May 2024. He is accused of arranging to supply weapons to terrorists.
