Amritsar (Punjab) – Panic gripped in Gurbax Nagar locality on Friday after an explosion in an old building rocked the city in the wee hours. It falls under Gate Hakima police station.

Senior police authorities, including Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishaljit Singh, reached the spot and started investigations. “We are yet to find out whether it was actually an explosion. Police teams are on the job and CCTV cameras in the area are being examined to find clues,” he said. A few days ago, sophisticated explosives were found outside the Ajna Police station.
