
New Delhi – A complaint involving 62 individuals, including Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to Bangladesh’s Interim Government, has been filed at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague. Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen shared on the social media platform ‘X’, that Anwaruzzaman Chaudhary, former mayor of Sylhet Municipal Corporation and currently residing in London, is behind the filing of this complaint.

Nasreen further noted that the complaint alleges incidents of violence between August 5th and August 8th , 2024, targeting members of the Awami League and its affiliated organizations, as well as Hindus, Christians, and Buddhists in Bangladesh. The violence occurred under the guise of a student movement in Bangladesh and included attacks on the Bangladesh Police too.
