Shocking incident at ‘Good Flippin Burgers’ eatery at Kalyan

Thane – In the eatery named ‘Good Flippin Burgers’ in Kalyan, buffalo meat was being used in burgers. A video of a Hindu customer protesting this went viral on social media. The Hindu customer objected that the shop did not prominently display the information that the burger contained buffalo meat. ‘Hindus do not eat buffalo meat. Therefore, if buffalo meat is to be used in the burger, the customer should be informed about it’, the Hindu customer told the staff. After this incident, the eatery at Wayle Nagar in Kalyan has been kept shut.

In this video, a Hindu customer along with his wife went to the ‘Good Flippin’ Burgers’ in Kalyan’s Wayle Nagar and asked for a burger. When in doubt about the meat in the burger, he asked the shop staff, ‘What animal’s meat is in the burger ?’. The employee said it was buffalo meat. On this, the Hindu customer cancelled his order. At this time some other customers were also eating burger at the eatery; however, as per the video, all the customers sitting there left the eatery as soon as they came to know that the burger contained buffalo meat. Some Hindu customers cancelled their order for burger and took their money back.

‘Good Flippin Burgers’ has 24 outlets in and around Mumbai. They also have shops in Delhi, Pune, Bangalore. The burgers from these shops are also suspected to contain buffalo meat.

When there is a ban on cow and other bovines slaughter in the State, the use of buffalo meat in the food is outrageous. Such shops should be banned forever.
