Deity’s Idol vandalised during Navratri Festival in Hubballi, Karnataka

Hubballi (Karnataka) – Dussehra festival has started in the state and Navratri festival is being celebrated in a big way. During the same period, the idol of Sri Dattatreya was vandalized by anti-social elements in Hubballi. This incident has created tension in the area.

A special pooja was going on in this temple on the backdrop of Navratri festival. The local people expressed outrage when they realized that the idol had been vandalized. The police rushed to the spot and conducted an investigation. Locals have demanded from the police that ‘strict action should be taken against the culprits’. BJP MLA Mahesh Tenginakai, while reacting to the vandalism of the idol in Deshpandenagar’s Sri Dattatreya temple, said that some people are creating nuisance in the state and trying to disrupt religious harmony.
