Commendable resolution passed to spread awareness about the attacks on Hindus
Mumbai – The sanctity of public festivals has diminished, giving way to perversion. In response, and with the noble intention of the protection of Dharma as Hindus can celebrate their festivals only if Dharma is protected, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (Konkan Province) has brought together 117 local ‘Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandals’ (Public Ganesh festival groups) at the Shivaji Vidyalaya Complex in Dadar. This effort has led to the formation of the ‘Sarvajanik Utsav Mahasangha’ (Public festival federation), which aims to transcend caste, creed, and sectarian divisions to preserve and celebrate religious festivals in their true spirit.
In this meeting, following resolutions were unanimously passed,
1. Awareness should be created among Shri Ganesh devotees about the dangers of the Love Jihad, Land Jihad, religious conversion etc.
2. Efforts should be made to maintain the sanctity of the festivals, obscenity should be avoided, traditional instruments should be used in processions.
3. At least one day during the festival, the entire Hindu community should come together and organise a Maha Aarati (Collective Aarati).
4. Couples from different castes and creeds should be given the honour to perform various forms of puja such as Satyanarayana puja, Shri Ganesha’s daily aarti etc.
5. Protest Jihadi attacks on Hindus and temples in Bangladesh by holding placards.
6. In order to respect the labour, the sanitation workers, blacksmiths, carpenters, hairdressers, servants etc. in the area of Ganesh mandal should be honoured. It was unanimously decided that VHP’s Provincial Minister Mohan Salekar should take charge as the convenor of the Mahasangh (federation), and the programme was concluded by Rajesh Prabhuji of ISKCON.
