Haridwar (Uttarakhand) – In the Hindu-majority Manglaur assembly constituency in Haridwar District, Congress candidate Qazi Mohammad Nizamuddin emerged victorious in the recently held by-elections. Following his victory, a procession was conducted in Manglaur where Congress’ Muslim workers attacked Hindus. The Police have arrested five accused named Irfan, Abrar, Kamil, Shamsad, and one more person named Irfan. Multiple Police teams have been formed to identify and arrest other criminals involved in the incident. The victory procession was taken out by Congress supporters without permission. Qazi Nizamuddin’s Muslim supporters told the media that they would break the law because, following Congress’ victory in the by-election, they have a ‘license’ to do so. (Such people’s legislative memberships should be revoked, and they should be sent to jail – Editor).
