Islamabad (Pakistan) – According to the reports from the ‘Centre for Research and Security’, in the second quarter of 2024, Pakistan has witnessed 240 terror attacks and anti- terrorist actions. 380 people died and 220 citizens, security personnel and criminals got injured.
The report says that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan are the centres of violence. In the second quarter there is a noticeable decline in the violence and incidents of sabotage. In totality the violence has reduced by 12% and the first quarter (between January to March) 380 deaths were recorded as compared to 432 deaths. Most significant improvement could be seen in Baluchistan, where violence declined by 46% and the first quarter witnessed 178 deaths which came down to 96 deaths in the second quarter this year.
