3 members of a child trafficking gang arrested from Hyderabad

Hyderabad (Telangana) – 3 members of a child trafficking gang have been arrested. Police have also rescued 11 infants from them. The Police received information of inter-State child trafficking. This gang used to buy children from poor parents in Delhi and Pune and sell them to childless couples in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They were sold for between 1.5 to 5.5 lakh rupees.

Police Commissioner of Rachakonda Dr Tarun Joshi said that on 22ndMay, a complaint was received from a person in Medipally area of Hyderabad regarding the sale of a girl. After that, the Police took immediate action and detained a person along with 2 women. At that time, these people were trying to sell an infant. When they were interrogated, it was revealed that there was a big conspiracy to sell children brought from New Delhi and Pune.
