Multiple police cases have been filed against Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, India Today journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, National Herald Group Editorial Advisor Mrinal Pande, reporters Zafar Agha, Paresh Nath, Anant Nath and Vinod Jose under the IPC sections related to misreporting, spreading disharmony, inciting violence, sedition, etc.
More than 300 policemen have been injured in violent clashes during the tractor rally by the farmers’ organizations in the national capital on Republic Day.
Names of notorious gangster Lakha Sidhana, and actor Deep Sidhu have surfaced in the police probe into the recent Delhi violence.

The protesting farmers in Delhi carried out a tractor rally from the border areas of Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur to oppose the new farm laws; however, the rally turned violent resulting in loss of life and property.
