Shoulder-fired missile launcher system to be used
New Delhi – India will deploy 3,000 missiles along its borders with Pakistan and China. These missiles can be launched using shoulder-fired missile launchers. The army has also reportedly invested Rs 6,800 crore in developing very short-range air defence (VSHORAD) systems domestically.

Under this, 500 launchers and approximately 3,000 missiles are to be purchased. These will be manufactured within the country. An officer of the Defence Ministry said that these launchers can destroy the enemy’s drones, fighter planes, and helicopters.
