Sentenced for using sensitive information of Pakistan Government for personal reasons
Islamabad (Pakistan) – With only 9 days left for Pakistan’s general elections, a Pakistani Court has sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan to 10 years in prison in a case. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the then foreign minister and Khan’s colleague, has also been given this sentence.
Both were accused of using sensitive and confidential information of Pakistan for personal use. They had to step down from power due to this. At that time, Khan had alleged that the US was behind this. Now that the elections are around the corner, the action against Khan is causing a stir in Pakistani politics.
