India a major power, strategically confident – China

New Delhi – ‘India is confidently marching ahead. The country has become a new geopolitical factor to be considered. India has become more strategically confident and proactive in creating and developing a ‘Bharat Narrative’, stated an article in China’s ‘Global Times’. Global Times is considered China’s mouthpiece. It praised India’s significant strides in the spheres of global trade, social governance, economy and politics. ‘Positive changes are seen in the Foreign Policy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’, acknowledged the article written by Zhang Jiadong, the Director of Fudan University’s ‘Centre for South Asian Studies’.

Jiadong further writes, “Recently, I was in India, on my second visit. The first visit was 4 years ago. India’s internal and foreign affairs strategy has shifted completely. India has made robust progress in economy and social governance. India’s war strategy has become more practical.”

Editorial Perspective

There is no need to be over-excited about China praising India. China has always betrayed India in the past, hence, its flattery cannot be trusted.
