Washington (USA) – Hinduism has given me the freedom to understand my moral obligations. Vivek Ramaswamy, the Hindu candidate of the Republican Party in the US presidential election, said that Hinduism only inspired me to contest the presidential election. He was speaking at the programme ‘The Family Leader Forum’ organised by ‘The Daily Signal Platform’ on 18th November.

Ramaswamy further said,

I am a Hindu. I have a faith that God is real. God has given birth to me for a purpose. It is my moral duty to realise that purpose.

God resides in each one of us; this is the core of our religion. This is why we all are equal.

Ramaswamy also commented on the similarities between Hinduism and Christianity. “Do you think I should be a president who promotes Christianity ? Not at all. I don’t think that as the US president I should do that. It is my duty to stand up for American values and I will do so”, Ramaswamy said.

Divorce has no place in Hinduism – Ramaswamy

At this time, Ramaswamy said, “Marriage is sacred. We should be restraint before marriage. We should beware of bad thoughts. Marriage happens between a man and a woman. Divorce has no place in Hinduism. A man and a woman are united in marriage by the witness of God. Both of them take a promise before God for the happiness and prosperity of the family. It was my special upbringing that instilled in me respect for family, marriage, parents. My parents taught me that family is the basis of our life.

Editorial Perspective

This is the truth that only Hindu leaders like Vivek Ramaswamy can pull America out of the abyss, where institution of marriage is totally distorted and has adopted frightening customs like ‘Hook Up Culture’ !

What is hooking up ?

In the most basic sense, hooking up with someone means that you’re sexually intimate with him or her, yet this intimacy can range from kissing all the way to intercourse. To that end, hooking up is actually an overarching expression that can be used to describe the wide range of sexually intimate acts that you engage in with someone else, but it doesn’t imply monogamy or that you’re in relationship or are even dating this person. In addition, hooking up with someone can be a one-time occurrence or a type of ongoing sexual relationship that you have with him or her and/or with multiple people.

It is generally associated with Western late adolescent sexuality and, in particular, United States college culture. The term has been widely used in the U.S. since at least 2000.

Editorial Perspective

Due to such statements of Ramaswamy about the greatness of Hinduism, it is not surprising if some American Hindu haters call him a ‘Satanic Hindu’ and Indian Hindu traitors also support such calls !
