Minorities become barbaric once they become majority : Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swamiji, Pejawar Muth

Udupi (Karnataka) – Prabhu Shriram has been our ideal, therefore, even after thousands of years, we have been worshipping Him and following His ideals, but the people of other religions as they become a majority population in any area, they exhibit their fanatic barbarism. Its small example is the riots at Shivamogga, stated Swami Vishwaprasanna Tirtha of Pejawar Muth.  Fanatic Muslims had pelted stones during a procession taken out by them on the occasion of Eid in Shivamogga, a few days ago. Swamiji referred to the issue while speaking in the ‘Hindu Samajotsav’ programme, which was jointly organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal at MGM grounds.

Pejawar Swamiji said further that how many shops and houses suffered stone-pelting and how many vehicles and prayer houses were set on fire ? We, Hindus, are peace-loving people. Shri Ramchandra is the symbol of our religion and He is our ideal. Every particle of the soil of this country is sacred. A mother is greater than heaven. We are not the people who pelt stones or behead others. Our hearts are always open for good thoughts.
