Ashamed of not getting invited to the G20 summit despite being a nuclear country – A Pakistani citizen

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Heads of 28 countries from around the world are attending the 2-day G20 summit in India. Summit’s excellent planning by India is being appreciated by participating countries, while the citizens of Pakistan, India’s neighbour and enemy, are criticising their own country. A video has been published on a YouTube channel in Pakistan named ‘Real Entertainment’. In this video, the anchor asks Pakistani citizens, ‘Why India progressed so well and Pakistan did not ?’ Citizens gave various answers. One of them said, ‘We feel ashamed that India did not invite us (Pakistan) to this summit despite being a nuclear country; but Bangladesh has been invited.’
1. One respondent said that Pakistan became independent by mistake. Some people opposed the partition at that time, they were correct in doing so.
2. Another one expressed ‘India has gone far ahead of us. Kashmiri people in India are getting more facilities than that of our citizens. We cannot compare with India.’
3. One respondent said that Pakistan is an impoverished country and no country wants to have relations with it. They think Pakistan might demand monetary help to them and hence keep distance.
4. A supporter of former Prime Minister Imran Khan said, ‘If Imran Khan were the Prime Minister, G20 summit would have been held in Pakistan.’ The reporter told him that Pakistan is not a member of G20, hence, this is not possible.
