New Delhi – G20 Summit to be held from 9th – 10th September at the ‘Bharat Mandapam’ in Delhi our country’s capital. The Summit is expected to be attended by more than 28 heads of various countries and top officials from the European Union and invited guest countries and 14 heads of international organisations. This year Bharat / India is having the Chairmanship of G20. Meticulous preparation for welcoming the participants and arrangements for their stay have been made. Heads of numerous nations will be attending and so security measures have been beefed-up in Delhi. For this, more than 50,000 security personnel have been brought in for this duty in the capital.
What is G20 Summit ?
G20 is a community of nations that represent, about 85% of the Worlds GDP, more than 75% of the World Trade, and almost 2/3 of the world’s population. The G20 Summit will give emphasis to subjects like Terrorism, Economic issues, Climate Change, Health, and other important issues in the summit.

G20 comprises of countries like America, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Bharat / India, China, Japan, Indonesia, Republic of Korea, and the European Union. Bharat / India, the Chairman of this Summit has invited 9 other countries to the Summit. Among them countries like Bangladesh, Mauritius, Nigeria, Oman etc.

US President Joe Biden, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Britain’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, German Chancellor, France’s President Emmanuel Macron, and Presidents of South Africa, Turkiye, and Argentina are coming to India. Russian President Putin, and China’s President Xi Jinping have said they will not be able to attend for some reasons. But Foreign Minister of Russia, and Chinese Prime Minister will be attending the Summit.
