Scientists even stopped using perfumes
Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Some information regarding the construction of ‘Aditya-L1’, the spacecraft that was launched by India for its Solar mission, has been revealed. At the location where the spacecraft was built, the scientists were not allowed to wear a perfume, because even the ultra-fine particles could affect the instruments of the spacecraft. This place was kept 1 lakh times cleaner than a hospital ICU. Any kind of contamination at this place could potentially turn the launch into a fiasco.

Nagabushana S, Head of the Technical team responsible for building the spacecraft, said that a special type of suit had to be worn while working in this place to prevent any form of contamination. Everyone in the team had to undergo an ‘Ultrasonic Cleaning Process’ (a micro-level cleaning process) before arriving at the site.
