Another Mahant was murdered a few days ago

Jaipur (Rajasthan) – The life of Mahant Siyaram Das Baba Bhuriya, a 93-year-old temple priest at Shri Mahadev Temple in Tonk, Rajasthan, was tragically cut short as he fell victim to a vicious attack, resulting in his untimely demise. The assailant used a sharp object to strike him on the head. After this incident, there was a ruckus in the area. Promptly alerted to the situation, concerned citizens quickly contacted the local authorities. The Police have filed a case and took custody of the deceased’s body. Further investigation is going on in this case.

Mahant Siyaram Das Baba Bhuriya had dedicated five decades of his life to residing and worshipping at Shri Mahadev Temple. His untimely death has left the community in deep sorrow. The residents of the town closed the market in protest of this incident. A few days ago, Saint Mohandas was also brutally murdered in the Didwana-Kuchaman District of Rajasthan.

Saints and sages are being targeted by criminals in Rajasthan – BJP

Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has said, “The brutal murder of Mahant Siyaram Das Baba is a very sad incident”. Criticising the Congress Government, Shekhawat said that in Rajasthan, saints and sages are being targeted by criminals.
