Illegal Muslim cemetery constructed on the land owned by Banke Bihariji Maharaj Temple in Mathura

  • Allahabad High Court demands answer from the Tehsildar
  • Suspicious role of the Revenue Department in changing the ownership of land

Prayagraj (UP) – A case is being heard in the Allahabad High Court against the unauthorised construction of Muslim cemetery on the land owned by ‘Banke Bihariji Maharaj Temple’ in Shahpur village in Mathura District. Justice Saurabh Srivastava has ordered the concerned Tehsildar to give a statement in the Court explaining how the revenue officials made such changes.

The petition filed by ‘Shri Bihariji Seva Trust’ claims that the land has been registered in the name of ‘Banke Bihariji Maharaj Temple’ since ancient times. In 2004, a person named Bhola Pathan colluded with the revenue officials and illegally registered the land in the name of a Muslim cemetery. This matter later went to the Waqf Board. (How can this case be taken to the Waqf Board when it involves the land owned by a Hindu temple ? The dubious role of the Waqf Board in this case must also be investigated – Editor). A 7-member committee was formed to investigate the matter. Although it came to light during the investigation that unauthorised changes were made in the land ownership, the temple trust did not get the ownership of this land. Therefore, the petitioner trust has demanded to the Court that justice be done in this matter.

Editorial Viewpoint

This is nothing else but a case of Land Jihad. This shows how fanatic Muslims and their Waqf Boards are grabbing the land owned by Hindus with the help of corrupt Government officials. The Union Government should recognise the severity of Land Jihad and bring a stringent nationwide law to curb it.
